Open Mind LLC aspires to develop innovative and practical products to enhance the experience, enjoyment, and functionality of an active lifestyle. Insta-bench® is Open Mind’s first and only launched product.

Open Mind’s founders, Chance Fry and Tom Bunnell, have enjoyed success as both soccer players and coaches throughout their lives. After looking around at a soccer tournament in '04 to see players coming off the field, sitting on their parents' laps and scattered all over the sidelines, they realized that the soccer community needed an addition. They went to a nearby bar and sketched out the first-ever Insta-bench® prototype on a napkin - to which they later coined "The Original Seating Solution for the Masses." In 2004, Insta-bench® became the first, portable, collapsible bench of its kind. In late 2004, Open Mind gained a 3rd partner, Rob Green, who helped build the business plan, manage operations and develop distribution.

January 2022, the amazing people that came up with idea and made it happen sold Insta-bench to Premier Sports Products LLC, led by Andy Johnson.
